Well, today was a rather cool day. Went for ORA in the morning. Well, I found it rather dissappointing due to various reasons. Couldn't find a particular booth despite my efforts. sigh :P Well, I met Sara and Senthil there. It got quite boring, so we went to RI and played some cricket ther. Wow. They were trying to teach me the rules of the game, but sadly I feel cricket rules are beyond me.
So after an hour or so, we went to see what the Sorkalam debaters up to, and see if we could help them in any way and such. Everyone was complaining that the only reason why Sasi was in the team was because of Jacks. What hyprocrisy. He had also wonderfully left his script at home...wow. Well, everyone seemed to do ok, and we just threw in some ideas of our own. Poor Kannan, had to write a lot of Sasi's stuff for him. Well, I had a bad feeling about Sasi at the start itself. Then the RGS Sorkalam team suddenly appeared! We were all considering doing a variety of stuff. Either bomb them, paste wireless bugs all over their "practice area" , and so on. Well a big ROFL.
So later, the Sorkalam team left to makan and go to the place, while Kanna and I, together with nara/kelly/whatchahave - left a little later. While Kannan and I were - sappudiraaning at KFC, Kannan suddenly left to buy a Pepsi bottle, the significance of which would dawn upon me later.
Then nara came and we left in a cab for MDIS. She and her pallaiya kaalathu stories... -_-'. Well, when we got there I was like damn jack. No RI blacks there, and like Kannan knew everyone, while I knew no one... :( But Nara is damn baad lah, don't know who she is talking about, anyhow just whack only...Along came Nicholas(ulterior motives :p), and the debaters who were practicing at one corner. Then it was crunch time !!!
When, the RI kootam, which now included some Sec3 blacks - entered the debate room; I/We was like WTF ZOMG! The ratio or rgs people to ri people was like 36 million to 1, or something like that. Unfortunately, we had to wait freaking long, due to the great Yindian Standard Time or YST.
The debate started soon enough. The first speaker was all right, at least better than Sasi, but didnt really contribute much IMO. When Sasi spoke, ZOMG I felt like killing that idot! Started screwing up shit, and he din't rebut any of the opposition points. Basket. Well, the 2 opp speaker, was alright - nothing remarkable yet. When Chokalingam spoke right, I was like WOOHOOO. He was damn pro, supreme confidence exuded from him - even the RG kootam was like clapping for him. The 3 opp speaker was rather pro and all, nothing much to say. Subra screwred up his points, not being very fluent and all. QA was baad. For RG other than the 2 speaker, everyone did well, but for RI it was the inverse. Other than Ramasamy, the rest screwed up. Especially Sasi and Subra. I had a bad feeling about the whole issue. Geeva's specchwas ok, nothing notable. But when the last opp pseaker - Priyadarshini (I think), I thought we were super screwed. Though her points seemed very wrong, the way they were expressed tekan-ed our case. Well by the end, I knew RG had won.
Yeah, well waiting for the inevitable results, Ri lost of course. But suprisesuprise, Ram got best speaker along with Priyadarshini.
The best part comes later. As we were going home, the SJI makkal we like, eh RI vs SJI friendly soccer match! All of us were on. Hahah. Except Kannan who had someone waiting for him. It was damn fun. We thought that we would get owned, but we OWNED SJI.Lol. Like 10-6 or something like that? HAHAHAHAHA. Nick was damn pro keeper, but the hockeyness oozed into him, and instead of catching the ball, he tapped it down. Lol.
Sara, was the most prodded player, scoring most of the goals. The only good contribution that I made was kicking the ball just as it was about to cross the goal line, effectively preventing an SJI goal. Haha. We were playing for like damn loong. SJi guys are a bit anjacks, but generally cool fellas. Had a great time there. After which, was home sweet home...
