a raging wind billows
through the cracked desert
dust devils and sandstorms
obscuring,clouding,blinding
a blind soul,staggers
unknowingly, and wearily
towards the void, eternally
into the six deep space

School is well under way. So much for the holidays. The pressure is on. There is a further 6 weeks in this term and another 3 next term, to get through and we're free. For the moment at least. Now, I'm thinking about what modules to take for Wk 7-10. The tests/quizzes/tas are coming up reaal soon, and such mugging has to commence at full speed in order to attain a reasonable grade (and no, i'm not even talking about a 3.6 or whatever)
Now, somehow I've started to listen to more tamil songs. But I still dislike the ones with meaningless music/lyrics and such. This may seem old, but I like songs from 7G, Rhythm, Indira and such. Nice, pleasing music is more of my type. Not really the "Manmatha Raasa" type.
As for English songs, I've recently found like two songs. As in, I've heard them before and such, but didn't manage to find out the song title/artist or anything. A friend of mine, sent me the songs coincidentally, and it turns out that these were the songs that I was previously unable to find! Hah.
P.S: S seems to have improved. But A on the other hand, is still the same. I've tried talking sense to you, but you still don't get it. And I know...

I hate public libraries. Period. Especially, Tampines Regional Library. Why is it that everytime I go there to borrow this/these particular book/s,some yidiot has already borrowed them ? And these books would be only available much later. Argh. I hate it. When I want to read something, it ain't there! Stupid library users; worst of all, some books were supposed to be returned by that date and were like overdue. The worstestest part was that, HECKALOTTA books are missing. Like for example I search for Michael Crichton books, the status for most books was like MISSING or TRACE PLACED. WTH?! And the library search system is super screwed.WhenI type in some title, and specify the library branch to narrow the search resuslts - I keep on getting errors. They'd better do something about it.
World Cup is well underway. Soon to progress to Knockout stages. Sadly, Czech is out. Well, they didn't have many striking options anyhow. Germany, England, Argentina, Holland, Italy and Portugal are through. So is Brazil and erm Ghana. The hosts seem good this year. Let's see how it goes. I hope history repeats itself, in that Brazil has never won when they were HOT/CLEAR favourites. But I'm not counting on anything.

Yesterday I got a last minute call from Kannan the IM. He was asking me to take part in this random NUS Swarna "Paatukku Paattu" competition. Well, I was like nooooo at first, 'coz I didn;t want to end up looking like a jack. But it seems some guy backed out last minute. So vera enna vazhi? Went there lah. Ok, I've not been there before, but NUS is indeed friggin big. It has SBS BUSES running through the campus. Lol. So we were like, let's get prepared to be owned. We were up against Teck Whye. Well, at first we were like OMFG, we may die. But they didn't turn out that great also. So yeah, we managed to kick their asses by like er a few points. Haha. So we are through to the Semi-Finals. Yayness. The caampetition is only gonna get tougher, or at least that's what I think.
So yaenyway, watched the USA vs CZE match just now. Hurrah to the Czechies! They owned USA's ass 3-0. Noteworthy players include Rosicky (what would we do without your two superb goals?), Proboski, Nedved and Cech (excellent saves). USA is gonna get owned by Ghana, so no worries. But, if CZE maintain their form or better it, they are gonna be UP THERE. Soon it will be time to watch the yidly varsus ghana match. I hope I don't knock out half-way.

World Cup fever has set in. Yesterday I watched both the DET vs CRC and POL vs ECU matches. Guess what time I hit the sack? 5 AM! On a school day, that's about the time I wake up. Haha. The opening match was quite good, 4-2. Noteworthy playes seemed to be, Lahm, Klose, Schneider, Frings, Schweinsteiger and Whanchope. So yeah. If I'm not wrong, this is the most number of golas scored in an opening match in World Cup history. I hope I got my facts correct. Today is England match. Against Paraguay. Gonna watch that. Say hello to late nights from now on. Yay! Hello.

Today was quite sad. Why? 'Coz I went to the hospital that's why. Not just any old one, it's the NCC. Otherwise known as the National Cancer Centre. Before I begin, no one has cancer here, so yeah. It's really a pitiful sight. It was a place full of cancer patients, many who may never live their lives fully. Many could not move properly, had tubes carrying oxygen running through their nostrils and such. Many seemed to have undergone chemotherapy for the tell-tale sign of "unnatural" balding was there. Looking at all these, really made me appreciate life all the more. Did you know, men have a 1 in 2 chance of getting cancer? That's a 50% chance, which = a high one. It's like a heavenly hand flips a coin and decides or something. Heads or tails. Well, life is short; live it.
But as I was thinking, deviations came about. Somehow it got to nature/wildlife. Well, in this fast-paced-concrete-jungle-world no one bothers about anything other than themselves. At the rate we are going, nature would be dead-ed soon enough, and sooner or later, we're gonna follow suit. That's a given. Screw fashion/entertainment that exploits animals. Torture? That totally makes me sick. Squashing a kitten into pulp? Skinning a racoon alive? You people make me sick. I hope whoever engages in such activities rots in hell. Ok wait - it's such a DUH! thing. Those who cause misery to vaayilaatha jeevangal will surely suffer. No doubt about that.
P.S: I officially hate my keyboard. The reasons for doing so, shall be withheld by the author, for undisclosed reasons. Heh.
Till then, let's await the end.

So here's a post. There has been a lack of proper posts by me. Haha - so here is one, I think. Here are some observations of mine, which are totally random. So don't mind me.
1) Vacuum cleaners are like stubborn children. Especially, if you are unskilled in the art of housework. They refuse to move around corners properly, without damaging to whatever extent; the doors, cupboards etc. They end up sucking things that you don't want in the bag. They scare pets. They are menaces I tell you. A Roomba would make a better alternative, but try telling that to your vacuum cleaner. It would most probably go on strike, and may even suck your brain out through your nose, just like the Egyptians did to embalm their mummies.
2) Performance Tasks (more (in)famously known as PTs/
peetees) are infuriating pieces of crap. More so, they are higly amusing and ironic. For example, let's look at the PTs doled out by the Rafflesian Physics departments. Firstly, that of RI. During the one week "holiday" at the end of Term 1, a PT was handed out. The students were expected to calculate the cooling load for three adjacent rooms, taking into account 36 million other factors and variables. Much measurements had to be taken, which meant venturing into school, during the holidays. Also, 36 million calculations had to be computed, and as such the stress loads of these students increased exponentially, to the order of ^36. The Physics department had effectively gotten it's job done cheap - in that it outsourced the job of estimating the power consumption/cooling load of these rooms, to help reduce costs - for a nominal fee of $0.00. These students have expressed feelings of having been exploited. Next the Physics department of RGS. The author gathers from reputable sources that the students have been given a PT for submission during the holidays. They are to help design the homes of the Sri Lankan tsunami survivors/victims, and they are to wire the house using their knowledge of circuits and such. The important criterion is that the students design the house to enable the people to lead "healthy and happy" lives. To ensure that, the students have been provided with a list of appliances ranging from 19" TV sets, stereo systems, clothes dryers and so on and so forth. One wonders, wouldn't these people be more concerned with their survival rather than all these luxuries? Here is what one entity, which shall be collectively known as GAP. has to say - " It's absurd, ridiculous and pointless". Point noted. But this is the way of the RP, and so shall we forge. But as a sidenote, at this rate - we are not going to become Thinkers, Leaders and Pioneers. It'll be more along the lines of Contractors, Electricians, and Technicians.
3) Change can be both a curse and cure. It is a double-edged sword. It totally depends on the context. Due to recent events, I've come to think of it as more of a curse.
4) School-going kiddos, say bye bye to watching the World Cup finals. Why? It's at 2 AM, on a school going day. Unless you want to go to school looking like a happy zombie, with bloodshot eyes and just stone in class. I say, screw timezones.
5) Distilled Witch Hazel is an excellent ingredient for use, in any kind eye drop. It effectively relieves the irritating omg-my-eyes-are-on-fire-aaaah kinda feeling. Coincidentally, it's the active ingredient in Optrex. So, go Optrex.
6) Holidays never seem to be rest breaks. More like extended study/finishyourfrigginhomework "breaks".
7) RP students MAYBE woefully unprepared for A-Levels.
So here are some of my observations. The author's aim is to make the world a happy-slappy one and not intended to insult/cause grievous harm to anyone. Thank you, for your kind understanding.
