It's funny if you observe people. Have you noticed how when someone says that he is "just joking/kidding", he actually means - "i've-been-caught-lying-but-you-wouldn't-know-for-sure-so-i'll-cover-up". Deception seems to be something deeply ingrained within the psyche of some people. Pathological liars, I would say. They thrive on creating a false world, and attempting to deceive others, when in fact they are the ones who are deceiving themselves. Despicable.
